Review:

I LOVED Half-Blood, the first book in the series so I was dying to get on with the next book and it did not dissapoint.

"Ever since I've met you, I've wanted to break every rule."

—Aiden St. Delphi

In the this second installment of the Covenant series Alex is dealing with the knowledge of becoming the Apollyon but also dealing with the dangers of diamons now that they can infiltrate the Covenants. Reinforcements are being sent in but even Alex is seen as a threat.

Now lets pretend Vampire Academy doesn't exist. And for those who have who have never read Vampire Academy, you don't have to pretend! Than this book was great. Action, Comedy, Romance. Everything that you can ask for. Alex has exactly what I love in my main characters, kick-ass, snarky, I love it. And of course Aiden and Seth = DOUBLE SWOONS.

That being said I can't help but notice that glaring similarities between this book and those of Vampire Academy. Alex being VERY similar to Rose. But most of the similarities, is in the world building, the only difference is this is mythology not vampires.

However, this is not said to deter you from reading the series. I myself, still love it and believe it is very well written, I also believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt. And now that I've read the third book its easier to see the differences and appreciate it as its OWN fantastic series.

So do I recommend... absolutely! Just don't be surprised to discover a few similarities.
